I didn't set out to build a travel company. I spent nearly 25 years in hospitality and events, planning other people's most important moments — weddings, galas, milestone celebrations — and somewhere along the way, I realized the moments I loved most were the ones that sent people somewhere new.
The Journey That Shaped This Business
In 2025, a return trip to Ghana reminded me that the most meaningful journeys don’t simply take us somewhere new; they reconnect us to something within ourselves. That feeling of connection, belonging, and discovery became the heart of Heritage Haven and the way we approach every journey we create.
Heritage Haven Travel exists because I believe travel should do more than fill an itinerary. An anniversary that deserves more than a dinner reservation. A team that's earned real rest. A trip that becomes the story you tell for years, not just the photos you post. That's the kind of travel I plan for my clients, and it's still the kind I chase for myself.
My Most Memorable Adventures
Morocco
There's a particular kind of quiet you only find in the desert — just sand, sky, and the rhythm of a camel's walk. This trip reminded me why I do this work: the best travel isn't about checking off landmarks, it's about moments that stop time. Mint tea at sunset, a caravan winding through the dunes, and a silence that felt like a reset button for my whole year.
My Most Memorable Adventures
Bali
Bali taught me to travel slowly. Mornings walking through emerald rice paddies, afternoons in a cooking class learning the layers behind a proper sambal, and quiet time set aside for rest and reflection. Standing at this temple entrance in traditional sarong, it felt less like sightseeing and more like being let in on something sacred.
My Most Memorable Adventures
Anguilla
Anguilla is pure Caribbean magic — powder-soft beaches, water in every shade of turquoise, and a laid-back energy that gets under your skin. Boat trips out to nearby cays made it easy to island-hop and see even more of what this part of the Caribbean has to offer. It's the kind of place that makes "just one more day" feel like the only reasonable plan.
